What is Counselling?

IMG_3111.HEIC
Counselling is also known as talking therapy.  It is an opportunity for you to speak about whatever is on your mind.   It's  your time to share what's going on for you and I can help you to make sense of it.

The sessions take place at my home in Fleet.  Parking is available on my drive.  I also offer online sessions or over the phone if required.

Counselling sessions typically take place once per week but there is flexibility to have fortnightly sessions.  Each session lasts for 50 minutes.

I offer an initial 1/2 an hour introductory session at a reduced rate. I feel that it's important for clients to find the right counsellor for them and this time allows us to get to know each other.

The BACP (British Association of  Counsellors and Psychotherapists) provides an ethical code of conduct for all members to follow.  For my clients this means that you have somebody to speak with if you have any questions or concerns over my practice.  They also provide me with stringent guidelines to follow, ensuring that I have my clients' best interests at heart at all times.
